Ben's WX Summary
- Updated: Sunday @ 12:56pm
Enjoying a nice weekend out there, with above-normal temperatures and dry weather. As low-pressure slides through the Great Basin, we'll set up a north to northeasterly flow through tomorrow, bringing a weak Santa Ana to the area. Thereafter, forecast models still differ in the exact track and placement of our next storm, ranging from continued dry weather and cooler temperatures to possible precipitation, though latest runs are trending drier for us. Expect mostly sunny skies out there today with highs in the mid-50s, northeast winds developing 5-15 mph. Clear and cool tonight with lows in the 20s. Low pressure will pass by to our northeast on Monday (inside slider), generating gusty offshore winds below passes and canyons with some cold air advection. This will knock highs back into the 40s with northeast winds continuing 5-15 mph, gusting to near 40 below passes & canyons. Winds will weaken and shift onshore on Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of approaching low pressure. Unfortunately, it now looks like this system will remain mainly to our north with only a slight chance of showers Wednesday night, then fair and gradually warmer into next weekend.
